Youth often direct activities to what they would like to do. The arts from crafts, drawing, painting, to singing are very popular.
Staff direct a variety of learning opportunities. Thanks to Elizabeth Klindt from the Hornell Public Library for providing our participants with the Financial Literacy Program lessons this Fall.

Canisteo Valley Youth Center (CVYC)has a gym area that is used for a variety of activities that stress cooperation, assisting with physical skills, and having learning components.
Staff encourage youth to work on homework. Supportive educational learning activities are scheduled weekly with staff direction and inviting in experts, such as, the Science and Discovery Center. Thanks to the Wimodaughsian and Hornell Libraries for sponsoring financial literacy this fall.
The arts are a favorite, whether it is holiday projects or painting and drawing. We encourage self expression. Come see the mural completed by the youth and area artist Gail, through the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.
